1Password worked great with Snow Leopard, but with Lion I have experienced permission problems, which I suspect is caused by 1Password. I have used their troubleshooting app but it continues to malfunction. After a thorough repair of all permission I have avoided re installing 1Password and all is now fine.

Oh, it's only free for 30 days and then I have to pay $50. That's a shame. $50 is a lot of money for a form filler.

1Password looks good so far, except that to set my date of birth I had to click the back button on the little calendar a lot of times, to get through all the months from September 2011 to August 1978!

Although RoboForm for Mac (Safari) is now available, it is only suitable for people in the USA. When you create a new Identity, it is fixed to 'United states', so you can't enter a non-US address or phone number.

There's also RoboForm for Mac (Firefox), but this is a Lite version, so you can't create Identities at all. To use RoboForm with Firefox on a Mac you have to install RoboForm for Mac (Firefox), which gives you the Firefox toolbar, and then you also have to install RoboForm for Mac (Safari), which gives you the separate application for creating Identities.

I'm now going to try 1Password.

1Password support is awesome--very rare in a modern software vendor.

The application, though, really does miss some of Roboform's features. I particularly miss the ability to store the data on a USB stick that I can drop into my pocket when have to leave the home office.

Also, for some reason, 1Password doesn't seem capable of adding its toolbar to Safari (although the toolbar's there in Firefox for the Mac), and it's a time-killer to go through the 1P button, cascading menu route.

1Password may well be the best password management software for the Mac, but I'll try a Mac version of Roboform the minute it's available; and, if it's as good as the Windows version, I'll switch.

The video url is fixed.
Do you think 1password is worth $34.95?
